What does it mean to be a multisite study?

Multisite studies are across multiple sites within a health system or school system, preferably in diverse geographies, across multiple healthcare systems, or across multiple communities. Multisite studies are recommended to generate evidence that can be generalized broadly and that will support widespread implementation of effective interventions.
