What does it mean to be a multisite study?

A multisite study is a study taking place across multiple sites within a health system (preferably in diverse geographies), multiple healthcare systems, or multiple communities. 

Multisite studies are recommended to generate evidence that can be generalized broadly and that will support widespread implementation of effective interventions.
