Would mental health be a sufficient primary outcome? 

The study should address maternal outcomes for populations experiencing disparities in outcomes. Mental health outcomes are within scope with appropriate justification. If a composite of individual outcomes is created to reflect mental health, applicants should justify the inclusion of each individual outcome in the composite, the combination of outcomes, and any weighting of outcomes, and briefly discuss interpretation of the direction of any effect—increase or decrease—on the composite.
