Do I need to use the PCORI Engagement Awards Evaluation Reporting Tool for my evaluation?

No. You are not required to use the Evaluation Reporting Tool as part of your project evaluation. But it may be a useful tool to help you measure progress throughout the project. PCORI would like awardees to: 

• Design the project with evaluation in mind 
• Collect data on an ongoing basis
• Use these data to improve the project on an ongoing basis

Keep this tool in mind as you start your project. This will make evaluation a part of your project, so that it is not thrown together quickly at the end.
