Yes. But you as the applicant must get permission to use the tool or resource from the relevant copyright or other intellectual property rights owner. The owner is most often the awardee institution of the original PCORI award project team. Permission must be given in the form of a written Letter of Support. The Letter of Support should grant you the right to use and, if needed, change the tool or resource.
The relevant copyright or other intellectual property rights owner must grant you rights to use the tool(s) or resource(s) needed to carry out the project. PCORI will not help you contact Principal Investigators (PIs) or Project Leads (PLs) from the original PCORI award project team.
The Letter of Support must be submitted with the full proposal. This extra Letter of Support does not count toward the five-letter limit.
