Which outcomes should be included?

Alcohol use is required as a primary outcome and other substance use is strongly encouraged as an additional outcome. Additional outcomes of interest include consequences of alcohol use, consequences of other substance use, healthcare utilization, patient engagement, patient satisfaction with care, school performance, substance use diagnoses, and other mental health diagnoses. Investigators may include other outcomes relevant to the research question.
