What is the Methods PFA's general policy about funding disease-specific proposals for instrument development or validation?

Proposals that develop, refine, and validate disease- or condition-specific measures are not responsive to the Methods PFA. Applicants are encouraged to explicitly describe how the proposed research will advance methods for patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR)/comparative effectiveness research (CER) in a systematic manner.
