Are Veterans Affairs (VA) patients populations appropriate to study?

Yes. Many VA patients are elderly and/or have chronic conditions, thus representing two of PCORI’s populations of interest. Please refer to the PFA to which you are applying for the full list of recommended populations. Note that proposed studies are not limited to these populations.
