Can A Principal Investigator (PI) Submit More Than One Letter Of Intent (LOI) Per PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA)?

A Principal Investigator (PI) may submit multiple LOI to the same PFA, as long as the projects do not exhibit significant scientific overlap. A PI may submit multiple LOIs to different program PFAs in a cycle, but the PI must ensure that the research topics and projects are distinct. PCORI will provide the PI with an opportunity to choose which LOI to proceed with if determined there is significant overlap between multiple LOIs submitted. This applies to single- and dual-PI submissions.
