We encourage data collection and analyses that would enhance the understanding of heterogeneity in costs and economic burdens by a range of social factors including, but not limited to, patients’ insurance status income levels; geography, such as rural/urban differences; and race/ethnicity. In addition to social risk factors, awardees may also collect data and analyze heterogeneity in costs and economic outcomes by clinical factors such as illness severity, multi-morbidity, etc. These are examples; awardees can propose any data that they can justify as explaining heterogeneity in the costs and economic outcomes proposed in the supplement.
What "social risk factors and/or social determinants of health on costs and other economic burdens incurred by patients, caregivers and other stakeholders" are acceptable?
